Princeton, May 24th, 1819
Your petition arrived a few days ago and nothing but negligence kept me from answering it sooner.
Part of the money which I have is in notes on Richmond, VA and as the discounts here is much greater than in Philadelphia I send you $30 of those notes and $20 on Philadelphia--Mason passed through on Tuesday with a handsome young lady in the stage--do you know the person? Write to me frequently and lengthily--love to Susan and James and believe me to be your affectionate nephew--Orlando Brown
