Description Interior shot of Liberty Hall, in a first floor room (in the northwest room). The photograph is signed and dated by the artist on the mat board in the lower-right-hand corner. It is written in pencil. The date is in Chinese. Paul Briol (1889-1969) was an American photographer based in Cincinnati. He studied with a Chinese scholar when he lived in New Orleans and signed and dated his originals with the date in Chinese.

At the time of this photograph, the room was being used as a dining room. Mary Mason Scott would have been living in Liberty Hall at the time this photograph was taken.
