Diary of Mary Mason Scott, signed by her in the front "Mary Mason Scott, Liberty Hall, Frankfort, KY" It is in a National Surety Company diary from 1926, and the title page calls it a "Lawyers' Diary." This diary chronicles Mary Mason's Scott active social life, church activities, travel, and gardening. Descriptions of trips to New York City and Virginia for a Mount Vernon Ladies' Association meeting are included, as well as references to Frankfort civic and cultural activities, such as volunteer work at a recurring "Penny Luncheon" and attendance at Garden Club and Chautauqua lectures and concerts. In the course of the year, Scott makes numerous trips to Louisville, Lexington, and Woodford County estates and references over 275 individuals, including family members, local and visiting friends, performers, and the servants who made her affluent lifestyle possible.
