This famous work on the conduct of life, written by a medical doctor to his son in a series of letters, was first published in America in 1794 following the London first of the same year. Aikin as the father urges his son in Unitarian ideals of freedom of thinking, standing up for his beliefs, religion without supersition or political influence and religious tolerance. |
