High contrast photograph of the side of Liberty Hall. The signature of the artist and the date is written in pencil in the lower-right-hand corner on the mat board. The date is in Chinese. Paul Briol (1889-1969) was an American photographer based in Cincinnati. He studied with a Chinese scholar when he lived in New Orleans and signed and dated his originals with the date in Chinese. |
