Signed color lithograph print of a man and a woman on a rocky outcrop. The man is pointing whle the woman looks on. A red jacket is by the woman. At the bottom of the print, it reads in print: "Copyright 1905, by Moffat, Yard, and Co. NY" and "The World Before Them." In pencil on the back it reads "$5.00" In handwriting it reads "Howard Chandler Christy, 1905." Christy was an American artist known for his Christy Girl illustrations, a successor of the Gibson Girl. The woman in this print resembles the "Christy Girl." |
