Description |
One glass inkwell of two with cover from a pewter inkwell box with a hinged lid. One side has two inkwells and the other side is a drawer for storage. There are two glass ink pots in square pewter boxes with holes for pens. One hole has cover. Between ink pots is a box of sand. Storage drawer contains pens and other materials that appear to be later than the inkwell. Inkwell has ball feet. Several scratches on top and inscriptions: "Mason, Eliza P, Mary, MYB, M.M. and Gordie Pye". On the various pens, it reads "Kingsbridge, Made in England," and "Partridge and Cooper Fleet St. Manufacturing Stationers No. 1 Chancer Lane, and SH" Unidentified maker, probably English. |
