Description |
Watercolor of the front doorway of Liberty Hall, signed: L. Brown. Lillian Mason Brown (1859-1924) was the great-great ganddaughter of John Brown. There are green shutters on the Palladian window and a sleeping orange cat (possibly The Princeton Tiger, a cat owned by the Browns) on the porch. A tree branch is in the upper left-hand corner of the painting. A serpentine brick path can also be seen at the bottom of the stairs. |
