Description |
Miniature portrait of Margaretta Mason Brown. Margaretta is depicted in a white and blue dress with a blue background. Her brown hair is worn loose, and is long and curly. There is a glass cover on the miniature. The back has an open window that frames some hair criss-crossed over one another. The top of the case has a circle (a bail) that could be used to hang the miniature. The miniature remains in its original locket. It appears that on the back of the case that there used to be a pin that could've been used to secure this item as a brooch. The top and bottom of the hardware remain, but the actual pin is gone. This object was once framed together in a gold gilt frame with 2009.01.0271.001 and 2009.01.0271.003. Objects are no longer framed together. |
